historic regional sportaccord pan america 2019 set to begin in fort lauderdale
GAISF and SportAccord President Raffaele Chiulli has welcomed hundreds of leading sports officials and executives in Fort Lauderdale for the inaugural edition of Regional SportAccord Pan America 2019 which begins today.
The event will explore development opportunities in the Americas with a packed conference programme that runs across the next two days. A bustling exhibition and additional social events calendar will provide a platform for dozens of sports commissions, regions and cities from across the Americas to forge closer relationships and explore opportunities with the international sports movement.
President Chiulli will feature on the conference programme, alongside other distinguished sports leaders such as five-time Olympic gold medallist, gymnast Nadia Comăneci.
Speakers from the USA, Canada, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Chile, Mexico, El Salvador, Ecuador and Peru will also give their input, delving into topics including esports, good governance, social responsibility, knowledge transfer, safeguarding athletes, rebranding and transforming host cities.
President Chiulli said:
“This is a very exciting time for SportAccord and all GAISF Members. Regional SportAccord will equip International Federations and sports stakeholders with the knowledge required for further strengthen their sport in the region.
